Paul J. Fede, 90 of Belleville, passed away on Thursday August 16, 2018. Born and raised in Newark, he was the son of the late Michael and Louise (Gaeta) Fede. Mr. Fede moved to Belleville in 1979 and was a construction supervisor with the City of Newark Housing Authority before retiring. Paul was a graduate of Barringer High School in Newark and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Belleville Seniors Tuesday Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Angela (Calabro) Fede and his devoted children, Michael P. Fede, Salvatore Fede & his late wife DonnaMarie (Gamarro) and Robert Fede, M.D. & wife, Rosanne. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, Tarah Hands & husband, Keith, Salvatore Fede & wife, Monica and Erica Orlando & husband, Chris and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Alayna, Angelica, Brody, Sophia and Giavanna. He is predeceased by his brothers, Anthony, James, Joseph, and Gerard; and sister, Grace.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church in Newark on Monday August 20 at 10:30 am followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

There will be no visitation prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Fund.
