Obituary for Peter C. Lewis
“Dedicated Family Man”
Peter C. Lewis, 89, of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Born in Niles, Ohio, Peter was the son of the late Chris and Jennie (Papasavis) Lewis. He retired as a prosthesis maker for Pfizer Pharmaceutical, formerly Homedica Osteonics in Clifton. Peter loved spending time with his family and talking with his neighbors and friends. He was an avid New York Rangers fan and loved to play tennis. The beloved husband of the late Lillian (Drake) Lewis, he is survived by his daughter, Karen (Lewis) Pellicone and her husband, Robert; 4 grandchildren, Jillian, Nicholas, Michael, and Kaitlyn, and his sister; Stella Panagakis. Along with his wife and parents, Peter was predeceased by his brother, Louis Lewis, and sister, Angelina Strimboulis.
In light of today’s circumstances, we are sad to say that the funeral service for Peter at St. George Greek Orthodox Church and entombment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Clifton will be limited to immediate family only. The service will be streamed via Facebook Live at Monday 10 A.M. for any friends and family that would like to celebrate his life with us.
