Pete proudly served with the US Army 9th Armored Division, 89th Calvary Reconnaissance Squadron in Europe during WWII. He was awarded the Purple Heart medal for injuries sustained in battle.

Pete was involved with the Disabled American Veteran’s Belleville/Nutley Chapter 22 and the Old Guard in Nutley, New Jersey.

His family would like to thank the angels with VITAS Hospice and Bayshore Memory Care. They provided loving, dignified care in his final months, and also the staff of the Alzheimer’s Support Network. Their love, guidance and support surrounded him on his journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pete’s memory are requested to the Alzheimer’s Support Network, so they may continue to help families as they care for their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease. Their address is 660 Tamiami Trail North, Suite 21, Naples FL 34102.
