Peter C. Turano, 80 of Belleville, passed away on Monday May 18, 2020. Born in Newark, Peter was the son of the late Peter A. and Rose (Vangieri) Turano. He was raised in Belleville and lived in Nutley before moving back to Belleville. Peter was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Retiring for Wakefern Food Corporation in Elizabeth, he was a member of the Eighth Ward Club and was also a life member of the Marine Corps League in Nutley.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Virginia (Baldino) Turano; his children, Lorri Pettinato and her husband Joseph, Patricia Morreale and her husband Andrew, Peter A. Turano and his wife Elvira, and Jesse James Turano; sisters, Carol Johnson and her husband Ed, and Bernadette Grasso and her husband Lou; and 7 grandchildren, Gianna, Alyssa, AJ, Angela, Antonio, Arianna, and Pietro.

The funeral service and entombment for Peter at Glendale Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bloomfield will be held privately.
