Obituary for Phillip Barnard

Phillip Andrew Barnard, 60, of Clifton, NJ, loving husband, and father, passed away surrounded by family on February 17th, 2022, after a 7year battle with cancer.

Phillip was born on December 22nd, 1961, to Roy Leslie Barnard and Pearline Monica (Bailey) Barnard in Kingston, Jamaica.

Phillip moved to England as a toddler with his parents in 1963.

Phillip graduated from McEntee, Walthamstow, London, in 1977; he went on to study Computer Programming and Electrical Engineering at Waltham Forest College.

After graduating, Phillip started his first job in Covenant Garden, London, as a Sound Technician, kickstarting a long career in England and USA in the Sound, Telecommunication, and Computing industry.

Phillip, always a deeply spiritual person, dedicated his life as a servant of Jehovah God in June 9th, 1984.

In 1985, Phillip married his childhood sweetheart, Sorryia Yasmin Boukhari, in London. Phillip and Sorryia went on to have two beautiful children: son Asher, 1986, and daughter Rhianna, 1993.

Always a keen traveler and adventurer, Phillip moved to the USA with his wife and daughter.

However, in 2015 he was forced to retire from IBM to regain his health while being a constant support to his family and dedicated servant of Jehovah from the Nutley Congregation, NJ.

Phillip is survived by Mother Monica, Father Roy, 3 Brothers: Jack, Richard & Geoff, and two sisters: Sandra & Lana.
