Pietro (Peter) Zarfino, 62 of Belleville, passed away on Saturday July 11, 2020. Born in Italy, he lived in Newark before coming to Belleville 40 years ago. Mr. Zarfino was a distribution manager for the Star Ledger for 35 years and later worked as distribution manager at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Pietro was the son of the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Lazzaro) Zarfino and is survived by his beloved wife, Romana (Pontoriero) Zarfino, his daughter, Anna Sopranzetti and husband, Luca and grandson, Marino and his daughter Antonella Zarfino and her fiancée Eddie Dolan. He also leaves his sisters and brother, Giuseppina Fama, Vincenza Rizzo, Maria Palmieri, Letizia Perri and Antonio Zarfino, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville at 9:30 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In accordance with current regulations, face covings and social distancing practices will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Jude's Children Hospital.
