Obituary for Raffaela LaBruzza

Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother

Raffaela LaBruzza, 94 of Lakewood passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Born in Nocera Inferiore, Italy to the late Frank Silvero and Anna (Cavuto) Villani, she grew up in Italy and was there during the World War II Invasion. She immigrated to America when the war was over where she lived in West Orange and Belleville before settling in Lakewood 14 years ago. Raffaela was a professional seamstress and was trained by a master seamstress in Italy; she also worked for Westinghouse for many years. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, and also enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was known for her Christmas Eve dinners and her kindness that she shared with her friends and family.
The beloved wife of Vincent LaBruzza, she is survived by her loving sons Robert and wife Vanessa and Anthony LaBruzza, her caring grandchild Valentina LaBruzza and her sister Josephine Vincidomani.

The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 11 a.m.

The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
