Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather
Raymond F. MacDonald, 76 of Belleville, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019. Born in Newark, the son of the late Willis Joseph and Marie Pauline (Barnett) MacDonald, he was a lifelong resident of Belleville. Raymond retired as a salesman for PC Richards & Son in Wayne, as well as several other locations. After his retirement, he worked as a School Crossing Guard for the Township of Belleville.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus of Belleville and also Past Exalted Ruler of the Belleville Elks #1123
The beloved husband of the late Marie Celine (Kelly) MacDonald, Raymond is survived by his daughter, Anne Marie Pruznak and her husband, Michael; 2 brothers, Greg and John MacDonald; a sister, Joan Czekalski; 4 grandchildren, Ryann Girovasi, Sean Pruznak, Geraldine Pruznak, and Aidan Pruznak; and 3 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Xavier, and Levi. Along with his parents and his wife, Raymond was also predeceased by his brother, Paul “PJ” Mac Donald.
The funeral will be Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 9am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church in Belleville at 10am.
The interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Belleville.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8pm.
