Obituary for Raymond A. Walsh
Loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather
Raymond A. Walsh, 79, of Nutley, passed away on March 2, 2022. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Harrison, prior to moving to Nutley in 1978. Raymond was the son of David and Florence (Corblies) Walsh. He was a supervisor with IT&T in Clifton prior to retirement. Raymond was predeceased by his brother David, and his sister Marilyn Fox. He is survived by his loving wife Maureen (Stewart) Walsh, sons Raymond, and his wife Isabel, Kevin, and his wife Veronica, sister Helen Worley, sisters-in-law, Ann Stewart and Patricia Eckert, grandchildren Aiden and Trevor, and many nieces and nephews.
Ray was quite fond of traveling, astronomy, and a good “Ripper.” He enjoyed spending time with family and friends during many pool parties and July 4th barbeques. His most cherished time was spent with his grandsons, sharing his interests, stories, and wisdom. He will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
The funeral will be Monday, March 7, 2022, at 9:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:30am
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 3-6pm
