Rene Pablo Rodriguez, 81 of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday January 8, 2021. Born in Santa Clara, Ranchuelo, Cuba, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Virginia (Gomez) Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez came to Bloomfield in 1993 and also lived in Florida before recently returning. Rene was the owner and operator of Rodriguez Service Station in Newark before retiring and was a devout member of the Emanuel Christian Church Assemblies of God in Newark.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Teresa (Leon) Rodriguez, his son Carlos Rodriguez and wife, Zuzel and his grandchildren, Briana and Adam Rodriguez. He was also the dear brother of Carmen Luisa Quiroga and the late Gabriel Rodriguez, Roberto Thomas Rodriguez, Luis Manuel Rodriguez, Juana Hortensia Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez, Julio Rodriguez and Gloria Benita Rodriguez.

Relatives and friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday January 16, 2021 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm.
