Obituary for Richard Nakashian
Richard Nakashian, 83, of Lakewood, N.J. passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Born in Clifton, the son of the late John and Anna (Topalian) Nakashian, he lived in Nutley most of his life before moving to Lakewood. Richard was a Vice President at Two Guys before transitioning to the retail pharmacy industry. He retired as a manager at Walgreens in North Jersey and was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Lebanon Crisis.
He loved traveling and enjoying time with his family. He was predeceased by his brothers Edward, Bobby and Aram Nakashian along with nephew Aram Nakashian. He is survived by his sister-in-law Shakay Nakashian and four nieces, Julie Frattarola, Leslie Karsch, Arpie McQueen and Melinda Nakashian. He is also survived by nephew Edward Nakashian and four grand nieces.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Nutley Free Public Library, Attn: Memories, 93 Booth Drive, Nutley, NJ 07110 would be appreciated.
