Obituary for Robert R. Plass III
Robert (Bob) Plass III passed away on February 15, 2022 at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. He was 64.
Bob was born in New York, NY to Robert Raymond Plass, Sr. and Virginia Plass (Bovenzi) on March 22, 1957. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1982 with a degree in Earth and Mineral Sciences; where he also played on the Rugby team. He worked for many years as a Polymer Chemist before retiring in 2013. Most recently, he was employed by the County of Essex NJ, working part time at Hendricks Field Golf Course. Bob married Simone (Le Goff) in 2003, and remained her devoted spouse until his death.
Bob loved golf. He was also active in his church, and enjoyed the company of many good friends, golf buddies and neighbors. He is survived by his wife, Simone; his step sisters, Diane, Meg, Ruth and Fran; step brothers Pat, Frank and Myron Jr; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his step brother David.
