Obituary for Robert G. Zarr
Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Robert G. Zarr, 72, of Nutley, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Belleville prior to coming to Nutley in 1975. He retired four years ago as a Chemical Engineer from Spartech Pep, Newark, NJ, where he had worked for 47 years. Robert was a history “buff”, lover of Classic B movies, and a walking enthusiast. He also had a great sense of humor, was selfless and kind, and loved his family more than anything else in this world. He received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, and a master’s degree in business from Rutgers University.
He was the son of the late Charles and Lilly (Kasbar) Zarr. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Alice (Harris) Zarr, his devoted children Jennifer Zarr and her husband Alexander Moore, and Christopher Zarr and his wife Jillian, a twin brother Richard Zarr and a sister Barbara Parascando, four Grandchildren, Alexander, Lucas, Benjamin, and Thomas.
Funeral service and interment will be private.
There will be a memorial celebration of his life to follow later.
