Obituary for Robin Snell

Robin Snell, 51 of Nutley passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at her home. Born in Manhattan to the late Robert Snell and Luisa Vega. She grew up in Teaneck until making a home for herself in Nutley for many years. As a student of Berkeley’s College, Robin zealously pursued her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies. Prior to returning to school, she had worked for Cendant as a contract specialist for Century 21 before moving over to the Avis Budget division. At Avis, as a member of the diversity team, Robin was able to enjoy her love of traveling.

Robin was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Nutley where she was a reader and chalice bearer. She was known for her love of travel, wine, shoes, purses, Harry Potter, “Gone With the Wind” and her love of politics.

She is survived by her daughter Christena Devaney, her sisters Rosa Maria Encarnacion & Sonia Asbrand. As well as her niece Nanette and nephews Ryan, John, Gary, George, Justin, Jackson and Corey. Robin will always be remembered also by her many friends whom she loved and considered family, including Claude, Melissa, Marianne, and Helen. She is predecessor by her parents, brother Manuel and nephew Daniel.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 29th at Grace Episcopal Church in Nutley at 5:00 pm. Due to Covid restrictions only 50 people are allowed to attend the service. Burial will be at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack on Friday, October 30th at 11:30 am.
