Proud WWII Veteran
Rocco Contursi, 94 of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Theresa (Fata) & Angelo Contursi. Rocco was an Army Veteran of WWII. He retired as a supervisor of Defense Supply for the United States government. He was raised in Newark and moved to Bloomfield 50 years ago from Springfield. Rocco was a graduate of Seton Hall University and a member of the Nutley Elks Lodge #1290. He enjoyed dancing and singing.
Rocco is survived by the love of his life, Tina Geraci and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
The funeral will be Monday at 9am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral mass will be at St. Valentine Church at 10am.
The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday 1-5pm.
