Romeo Escobar, 59 and Ernestina Escobar, 65, of Newark, passed away on December 30, 2020 and January 14, 2021. Romeo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and was the son of Consuelo Menjivar De Escobar and the late Victor Manuel Escobar Quezada. He was a manager with Wenesco Corp. in Englewood Cliffs and was the devoted husband of Ernestina Escobar.
Tina was born in Costa Rica and was the daughter of the late Honorio and Carmen (Granados) Juarbe. She was an eye care technician at Vision Works in Bloomfield.
Romeo leaves his mother and his brothers, Erick Escobar, Sergio Escobar, Omar Escobar and Tina leaves her sisters, Linda Carbora, Elbecia Triana and Consuelo Juarbe-Aponte.
Romeo was an avid cook and he enjoyed entertaining and helping those in need and Tina loved to craft and was our family seamstress. Please remember them fondly and with love.

A memorial service will be held for Romeo and Ernestina at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. in Nutley on Saturday January 30 at 2 pm.

Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home from 1-2 pm.

A private committal service for Romeo and Ernestina will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
