Obituary for Roseann D'Amato (Asaro)
Roseann D’Amato, 83 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2021. Born in Passaic, she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa Asaro. Roseann lived most of her life in Nutley and was a school bus driver for the Nutley Board of Education before retiring and also worked as a secretary at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Roseanne was a member of the Nutley Elk’s Lodge #1290 and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, softball and taking care of her cats.
Roseann was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale D'Amato, her daughter Patricia Genardi and her siblings Anthony Asaro and Christina Asaro. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Terri Genardi and her partner Peggy Volker of Dover, her beloved brother Basil Asaro of Dallas, TX and her beloved cat, Daisy. She also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the S. W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre Street Nutley on Thursday January 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM. A graveside service will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton at 12:30 PM.
