Ruth Castle 97 of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday April 26, 2021. Born in Forest City, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Woods) Sample. Ruth was raised in Vandling, Pennsylvania and came to Bloomfield in the 1940’s. She was an inspector with DuMont Laboratories in Clifton before retiring. Predeceased by her beloved husband, William Castle, she is survived by her son, William Castle and wife, Susan, her daughter Joan Skorupski, her grandchildren, Jennifer Skorupski, Courtney Rutherford and Monica Matsakis and her great grandchildren, Henry, Elias, Maddison and Theodore. Ruth was also the dear sister of the late Walter Sample.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church 200 Highfield Lane in Nutley on Sunday May 2 at 12 noon.
