Sabina Liloia, 96 of Belleville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 10, 2021. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Russomanno) Melillo. Sabina lived in Newark and Lyndhurst before coming to Belleville in 1955 and where she remained for 66 years. Sabina was a devoted wife and loving mother. She is survived by her sons, Angelo and Donald Liloia, and her daughters-in-law Donna and Louise. A loving grandmother and great grandmother she enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren Marie and her husband Gary, Lauren and her husband Ben, Brian and his partner April, Joseph, Nicole and Armand and her five great grandchildren Louis, Cecilia, Jack, Luke and Hazel. Sabina, the matriarch, enjoyed presiding over her large family gatherings, baking and tending her rose garden. She was a member of the Nutley Seniors Friday Club and the Nutley Golden Age Club where she held court with her many friends.
Sabina was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years Angelo in 2009 and by her dear son, Louis Gerard Liloia in 1993.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday November 13 at 9 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, Belleville at 10 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 pm.
