Obituary for Sadie F. De Giacomo
Sadie F. DeGiacomo, 99 of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2020. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Turano) DiGiacomo. Ms. De Giacomo lived in Belleville and Nutley before coming to Bloomfield in 1999 and was an office assistant with Mutual Benefit Insurance Co. in Newark before retiring. She was a member of the Essex County Seniors Club, the Nutley Seniors Friday Club and was member of the Holy Family Bible study group.
Sadie was the dear sister of the late August, Angelo and Nicholas DeGiacomo and the late Rose Russo and Florence DeGiacomo. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Ciofero and many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com) 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday September 23 at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 9:30 am followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
