Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great-Grandfather
Salvatore Azzinnari, 98 of Nutley passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at his home. Born in Delworth, Minnesota, the son of Angelo and Rosa Azzinnari, he lived in Italy prior to moving to Nutley 66 years ago.
Sal retired from the Township of Nutley Water Department and worked as a water repairman. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 94 and served in the Italian Army during World War II.
The beloved husband of the late Domenica (Corino) Azzinnari, he is survived by his sons, Cosmo, Angelo, Dominick and Salvatore Azzinnari; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and his wife, Salvatore was also predeceased by 4 sisters and brothers.
The funeral will be Saturday, February 22, 2020 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
