Obituary for Salvatore A. Gencarelli
Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and Father-in-Law.
On February 3, 2023 at 12:03 AM Salvatore Angelo Gencarelli of Belleville, New Jersey passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his wife, children and son-in-law, at the age of 75.
Salvatore Gencarelli was born October 26, 1947 in Luzzi provincial de Cosenza. At the age of 25, he married Gemma Gencarelli and moved to the United States in 1972.
They moved to Newark New Jersey and later settled in Belleville New Jersey. Salvatore was a master mason builder and Pizzaiolo. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Salvatore is the American dream. He loved everyone especially his family. He came here and started his family, took care of his wife and his kids and showed them everything and anything is possible.
He was predeceased by his father Eugenio Gencarelli, his mom Carmella Pignataro, his siblings, Santo, Filomena, Mario, Assunta, Francesco and sister Aida. Sal is survived by his wife of 50 years Gemma Gencarelli, his three children Eugenio, Pina and Sal, his four grandchildren, Gianna, Antonella, Giuliana, and Luciano and his son-in-law, Henry.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 2-6pm. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, on February 6, 2023 at 9:30am.
Internment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
