Salvatore Moccero, 86 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2020. Salvatore was born in Tripoli, Libya, during the period of Italian colonization. He was the son of the late Raffaele and Giuseppina (Rotta) Moccero. He then lived in Italy and served in the Italian Navy before coming to the United States. He settled in Belleville, residing there for 45 years before coming to Nutley. Mr. Moccero was a boiler operator at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson before retiring. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his beloved wife, Giuseppina (Russomanno) Moccera, his daughter, Anna Maria and his granddaughter, Michelle Merola. He also leaves his dear sister, Gina Moccero.

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Tuesday December 22 from 9:30 am to 11 am. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 11:30 am followed by entombment at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
