Obituary for Stella Ciba (Rutkowski)
Stella Ciba, 100, of Totowa, passed away on June 16, 2022. Born in Jersey City she moved to Toms River 36 years ago and then moved to St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 13 years ago. Stella was the daughter of the late Stanley and Josefa (Leczyski) Rutkowski. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, her son retired Army Lt, Col Edward Ciba, her brothers Stanley and Chester Rutkowski, sisters Josephina Wisniewski, Harriet Michalski, and Helen Witt. She leaves her loving son Reverend Thomas J. Ciba, a daughter in law Linda, sisters Irene Skop and Regina Meross, grandsons James Ciba, and his spouse Jeffery Cohen and Peter Ciba, and his wife Melissa, great grandchildren Joseph and Emily. Also, many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 9:00am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
A mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 120 Prospect Street, Nutley at 10:00am.
The entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 4-7pm.
