Susan M. Lucas, 70

Susan M. Lucas, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Born in Newark, the daughter of the late Robert and Maria (Kret) Ryan, she was a lifelong resident of Nutley. A graduate of Nutley High School, she was a Twirler. Susan was a dental assistant for Dr. Stephen Adubato in Nutley and a former Cub Scout Den Mother.
Susan enjoyed spending time at Island Beach Motor Lodge in South Seaside Park, NJ, cooking, Wheel of Fortune and arts & crafts.
The mother of the late Ryan M. Lucas, she is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin F. Lucas; her son, Benjamin F. Lucas, Jr. and his girlfriend, Christina; a grandson, Vincent Benjamin Lucas; her sister, Trisha Ryan and her fiancée, John and her brother, Bobby Ryan and his wife, Judy. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Carol Ferraro and her husband Michael and her nieces and nephews, Mindy, Mikey, Joey, Holly, Stacie, Robert and Edward. Susan was predeceased by her brother, James Ryan.

The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Nutley at 10 a.m.

The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
