Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother
Teresa Castellano, 95 of Belleville, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019. Born in Newark, the daughter of Felix and Mary (Intindola) Garruto, she was a lifelong resident of Belleville. Along with being a wife and a mother, she was also a member of the Nutley Seniors Friday Club.
The beloved wife of the late Ralph Castellano, Teresa is survived by her children, Marion Bergenfeld and her husband, Harris, Marjorie Schaffer and her husband, Fred, Ralph Castellano and his wife, Joan, and Joan Cox and her husband, Kenny; a brother, Frank Garruto; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Hoyer, Scott Bergenfeld, Christopher Castellano, Kimberly Castellano, and Megan Schaffer; and 2 great-grandchildren, Madilyn Hoyer and Joshua Bergenfeld. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Divina Ferrara, Jeanette Mastriani and Marie Garruto and her brother, Felix Garruto.
The Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Monsignor Owens Place in Nutley on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 10:45am.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
There will be no visitation prior to the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.
