Obituary for Thaddeus Koch

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Uncle

Thaddeus A. Koch, 95 of Nutley passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Born in Warsaw, Poland, the son of Rudolf and Marianna (Jakubik) Koch, he was raised in Poland and lived in England, Canada, Milwaukee and Passaic prior to settling in Nutley in 1966.
Prior to his retirement, Thaddeus was an engineering assistant and design draftsman with Schmid Laboratories in Little Falls. Previously, he worked for Wilkinson Sword, Transgram Co., Federal Pacific Electric Co., and Canadian General Electric Co., to name a few. He was also a veteran of the Polish Army.

Thaddeus is survived by his beloved wife, Lucia; his children, Susan and her husband, Stephen and Richard and his wife, Angela; his grandchildren, Cara, Eric and Giovanni and his nephews, Robert and Raymond. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Wanda and Anna.

The funeral will be Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 9:30 a.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Valentine’s Church in Bloomfield at 9:30 a.m.

The interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Catholic Relief Services (www.crs.org/) would be preferred.
