Thelma B. Saporito, 90, of Nutley, passed away on July 23, 2023. Born in North Arlington, NJ, she lived in Nutley for 72 years. Thelma was the daughter of the late Frederick Champignon and Jennie (Taylor). She was a crossing guard for the Township of Nutley before her retirement. Thelma was predeceased by her loving husband Michele and siblings Edna Firavanti, Margaret Salvatoriello, George Champignon, and William Champignon. She is survived by her sons Michael Saporito, and his wife Norma, Danny Saporito, and his wife Tracey, her daughters Michele Cantelmo, and her husband John, Christine Missaggia, and her husband Peter and Carolann Martello, and her husband Robert, her sister Mabel DiPetrillo, and her grandchildren Raymond, Michele, Danielle, Jenna, Kayla, Kristina, Michael Jr., Michael, and Nicole.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 27, 2023 , at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley followed by a burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.

Visitors will be received at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 4-8pm.
