Thelma S. Vicente, 77 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Born in Tarlac, Philippines, Thelma lived in Queens, NY before moving to Nutley 49 years ago. She was the daughter of Theodocio and Virginia (Arce) Santos and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, retiring as a chemist for Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley. She was also an active communicant for St. Mary’s Church and was a member of the Rosary Society.
The wife of the late Enrique Vicente, Thelma is survived by her son, James Vicente and his wife Joy; a brother, Carmelo Santos; and 3 grandchildren, Emily, Justin, and Isabella.
The Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Monsignor Owens Place in Nutley at 10:45am on Saturday, September 21, 2019
There will be no visitation prior to the funeral mass.
