Thomas Patrick Maher, 66 of Manchester and formerly of Nutley, passed away on Monday December 19, 2022. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Thomas Patrick and Eileen Patricia (Dunphy) Maher. Tom lived in Nutley for most of his life before moving to Manchester 13 years ago and was recently promoted to Construction Superintendent Level 4 with Whiting Turner Contracting Co. of Baltimore, MD. Tom was a member of the Nutley Irish American Association, and could always be found on the golf course or watching his favorite New York Football Giants.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen (Leon) Maher, his devoted children, Thomas Patrick Maher, Jr., Taryn Eileen Lamont and her husband, William and his two grandsons, Lucas Thomas and Santino Paul Lamont. He also leaves his brothers, Timothy Maher and wife Suzanne, William Maher and wife Linda, his sisters, Eileen O’Mara and husband Charles, Patricia Maher, and loving brother-in law Timothy Purcell. He was predeceased by his sister, Karen Purcell.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 pm. Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Friday December 23, 2022 at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:30 am. Cremation will be private.
