Obituary for Thomas Strumolo

Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Retired Nutley Police Captain and Realtor

Thomas Strumolo, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away on August 3, 2021. Born in Newark,
NJ, he was raised in Belleville prior to his moving to Bloomfield 50 years ago. Thomas was
the son to the late Belleville Commissioner Vincent and Helen nee Petrillo Strumolo. Thomas retired as a Captain
with the Nutley Police Department and was a past P.B.A.President for Local #33 Nutley, and
a past State Delegate for the NJ State P.B.A.He was also a licensed realtor for 42 years and for the last 15 years was employed with castle Realty in Nutley. He was also member of the UAR local board and the National Association of Realtors. Thomas was predeceased by his son Vincent. He is survived by his wife Connie (Pallante) Strumolo, son Thomas J. Strumolo and his wife Maria, brother Vincent Strumolo, sisters Nicki Ann Cordi, Josephine Fontaine, and grandchildren Tommy Jr, Vincenza and Natalia and his loving dog Bella.

As stated by the Nutley Police Department in their press release, " Retired Captain Strumolo served the citizens of Nutley for over 35 years with honor, integrity, distinction, and dedication. Captain Strumolo truly cared about the citizens of Nutley and the officers within the Nutley Police Department. Captain Strumolo was an inspirational leader who served in almost every capacity throughout the Nutley Police Department and left a positive impact wherever he was..."
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Connie, his best friend of 52 years, and his loving family and friends. Most especially he will be missed by his grandchildren whom he adored and loved spending time at their sporting events, the seashore, and being their "personal chauffeur".

The funeral will be on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 9:30m from the S.W. Brown & Son
Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 10:30am from St.
Mary’s Church, 17 Monsignor Owens Place, Nutley, NJ.

The entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 3-8pm.
