Thomas E. Fields, 70 of Belleville, passed away on Monday August 6, 2018. Born and raised in Newark, he was the son of the late George and Rebecca (McHugh) Fields. Mr. Fields lived in Newark before coming to Belleville 45 years and was a carpenter with the City of Newark Housing Authority before retiring. Tom was also a friend of Bill W. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois A. (Fede) Fields and his sister, Betty Merlucci.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Thursday August 9, 2018 at 9 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark at 10 am.

Cremation will be private with committal at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-7 pm.
