Obituary for Thomas J. Sheridan
Loving Brother, Husband and Father
Thomas J. Sheridan, 84 of Bloomfield passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the son of Wallace and Ellen (Hughes) Sheridan, he lived in Newark and Belleville before moving to Bloomfield 50 years ago. He acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Seton Hall and retired as a Sales Manager at Abbott Laboratories. He was also a Veteran and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Thomas is survived by his loving son Thomas Sheridan Jr., brothers Robert Sheridan and wife Mildred, and James Sheridan and wife Marleen.
Thomas is predeceased by his wife Margaret M. (Conway) Sheridan, and his sister Elizabeth Grouss.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 3-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Arc of Essex County.
