Obituary for Ursula M. Lorig (Tornow)
Ursula M. Lorig, 78 of Belleville, passed away on Friday March 18, 2022. Born in Berlin, Germany, Ursula was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Tornow. She emigrated from Germany at the age of 16 and lived in Red Bank before coming to Belleville 52 years ago.
Mrs. Lorig was employed with the food service department of the Township of Belleville Board of Education at Belleville High School before retiring.
A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Ursula is survived by her beloved husband, Karl H. Lorig, her children, Jennifer Marino and husband, Joseph and Mark Lorig and wife, Jennifer. She also leaves her grandchildren, Kaylee, Andrew and Jack and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Hilda Lorig and was the dear aunt of Robert and Stephen Lorig
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Sunday March 20, 2022 from 3-7 pm.
A service will also be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:30 pm.
Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
