Obituary for Verna J. Peslak (Panik)

Verna J. Peslak, 92 of Belleville, passed away on Sunday March 7, 2021. Born in Clarence, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew P. and Anna (Planko) Panik. Verna came to Belleville in 1959. While living in Pennsylvania, Verna worked at a textile mill and for Montgomery Ward before leaving to raise her family. She was devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Verna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry J. Peslak. She is survived by her children, Henry J. Peslak, Jr., Richard Peslak and wife, Cathleen, William Peslak, her grandchildren, Alex Peslak and wife, Bianca and Amanda Yurko and husband, Jesse and her great grandson, Bryce.
Verna was the also the dear sister of Andrew S., William, Howard, and Martin Panik, Genevieve Kazara, Sister Agnes Panik, and the late Steve, Mary, Ann, Margaret, Doris, Catherine and her infant sister, Margaret.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday March 13 at 9:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:30 am followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Visiting at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 pm.
