Obituary for Virginia Marie Peraino (Long)
Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister
Virginia Marie Peraino, 92, of Verona, passed away on February 28, 2023. Born in Newark, she lived in Belleville prior to moving to Verona eleven years ago. Virginia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Cinterella) Long. She worked in quality control for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Records manufacturing plant in Bloomfield. She was a member of the Sassy Seniors at Holy Family Church and the Nutley Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her loving husband Giovanni (John) Nicholas Peraino. She is survived by her son, John Peraino III and his wife Sharon, and her daughter, Karen Peraino and three grandchildren, Nathan Louis Peraino, Ava Elizabeth Silverman and Eric John Silverman as well as her brother Joseph Long and his wife Joyce.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday March 6, 2023, from 8:15 am – 10:15 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 10:30 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
