Obituary for Vito W. De Micco
Retired mason, U.S. Army veteran of World War II
Vito W. DeMicco, 99, a lifelong resident of Nutley, passed away on Monday August 30, 2021. Vito was the son of the late Vincenzo and Donatella (Melocrano) DeMicco. Vito was a self-employed mason and was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe campaigns. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Edna (Schwartz) DeMicco, his daughter Lila DeMicco, his brothers Anthony, Joseph, and Paul DeMicco, and his sisters Grace Dentato and Rose Campione. Vito is survived by his sisters, Eleanor Cappabianca and Stella Albanese, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 4-6 pm. A service will also be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm.
Cremation and committal at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery will be private.
