Obituary for Vivian Bromley

Loving Sister, Wife and Mother

Vivian Bromley, 89 of Nutley passed away on Monday, April 08, 2019. Born in Harlem, New York, to the late Howard A. and Blanche (Ardenez) Dash, she lived in Stuyvesant Town before moving to Nutley 57 years ago.
Vivian earned a Bachelors Degree from Hunter College, a Masters Degree at Columbia University, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
She hand a long eventful career path, she worked for the Brief Public Defender Office and Social Security Administrator Office where she retired in 1995 as a Deputy Commissioner of Social Security. She was heavily involved in her community; she served in the Essex County Community Mental Health Commission, Essex County Senior Citizen’s Patient Advocate, League of Women Voters, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was an active member at Vincent Methodist Church in Nutley and a Boy Scouts of America Den Mother for her son Brook.
The beloved wife of the late Leo Love, she is survived by her loving son Brook Bromley.

A memorial service will be held at Vincent Methodist Church, on Sunday May 5, 2019 at 2 p.m.

The cremation will be private.
