Obituary

Vivian M. Meitzler, 60 of Bloomfield NJ, passed away on Thursday April 16, 2020. Born in Jersey City and raised in Newark, NJ, she came to Bloomfield, NJ 32 years ago when she got married to Timothy. Vivian recently worked as a Patient Access Rep. in the Emergency Department of Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. Prior to working at the hospital she worked in the Law Library at Prudential for 30yrs. A devoted wife and loving mother, she is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy Meitzler, her beloved son Steven, her loving sister and best friend Jean Sime and her husband Eric Sime, her beloved brother Charlie Luszcz and his loving wife, Linda and their beloved children, Eric and Jessica.
She is the loving daughter of Kazimierz Luszcz and the late Mary Ann (Russo) Luszcz and also leaves her brother-in-law, Rodger Meitzler (USN, Ret.) and wife, Cindy (USN, Ret.) and her sisters-in-law, Lenore Moschella and husband, Joseph and sister in law Linda Meitzler.
Anyone who had the privilege to have Vivian in their lives, knows that she loved to go on vacations, enjoyed the beach, a stroll on the boardwalk, a day at the casino, she loved animals including cats, butterflies and dolphins, loved waterparks and amusement parks with her family. Vivian enjoyed daily trips with her family and just enjoyed spending time together with them. She was full of life and strong willed. Those who knew her loved her sense of humor and her love for her family and friends. She was also an animal lover and leaves behind her cat Becker. Life will not be the same without her with us but the love we have for her will stay with us forever. All of our love forever and always.

I read about Vivian's death in the Star Ledger. I am so sorry for your loss. Death of a loved one can be very distressing even if the person is elderly or sick. I would like to share the Bible's hope for those who have died and an encouragement for those who have lost a loved one. The Bible teaches us that death was not part of God's original plan. He wanted man to live forever on a paradise earth. Man disobeyed God and brought about sin and death to the human race. God's plan will still be realized. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight. It will have sure success in what I send it to do." The Bible talks about a resurrection of those who have died. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) The word resurrection in the Bible literally means "a standing up again" and "revival of the dead". The provision for resurrection of the dead is a magnificent expression of God's undeserved kindness. It displays his wisdom and power and is a means by which his original purpose regarding the earth and humans will be carried out. If you would like to know more about what the Bible teaches, please visit JW.org. Sincerely, Paula

It is our pleasure to have known Vivian. She was always upbeat and friendly every time we had got together. She was also very kind and giving to my family. We are very saddened by her loss, and our deepest sympathies to her family and friends. We will miss her.
