Ray the son of Willard “Bill” Wilson & Bessie Landis Wilson born 1928 and lived in Seaside Heights & Ocean Gate, before moving to Belleville around 1940 where he met his best friend Joe Brunner. Special thanks to Mary Alhalaby of Heart to Heart for Seniors, for seven years of companionship, recreation, and devoted care. Ray served in the U.S. Army in the early 50s. He bowled with several leagues during the 1960’s, enjoyed home repairs and improvements, along with building bird houses and note holders. Ray loved to tinker and invent things including removable food and beverage trays for his 1954 Chevy, so the family could enjoy drive-in movies. Many hours were spent enjoying model train layouts and collecting Lionel & American Flyer trains. He provided for his family by working at the “Big Three” Nutley companies, ITT from 1947-1949 as a coil winder, George La Monte & Sons (later Georgia Pacific) 1949-1969 as a Machine Operator and Roche from 1969-1989 as a Senior Chemical Operator, before retiring.
