Obituary for William F. Martin
Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather & Great-Grandfather
William F. Martin, 88 of Nutley, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Born in Newark, William was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Cahill) Martin. He was a proud U.S. Army Airforce veteran, serving in the Korean War. He retired as a plant foreman for Saint-Gobain Corp. in Wayne.
William was a past grand knight, and member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5184 of Newark, and past grand commander and member of the International Order of Alhambra- El Zagel #7.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia A. (Moore) Martin, his children, Noreen Lang (Robert), James Martin (Maureen), and Beth Ann Martin; his sisters, Theresa Jones and Mary Martin; sister-in-law, Ann Marie Martin; his grandchildren, Caitlin Carlson (Joseph), Robert Lang, Patrick Lang (Helena), Meghan Martin, and James Martin; and a Great Granddaughter, Riley Lang.
Along with his parents, William was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Martin (Jean) and Joseph Martin.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 9:30am on Tuesday, October 27th.
The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, October 26th from 4-8pm.
