Charles John Flemm, 72

Proud Navy Veteran

Charles John Flemm, of Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Helen (O’Donnell) Flemm.
Charles was a 12 year Navy Veteran and a rare coin and currency dealer in Howell, NJ.
He is survived by his son, Justin P. Flemm; his sister, Kathy Ruck and his former wife, Julie Alongi. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Armistead.

Charlie once said to me to tell everyone he was a good man and a great sailor.
I'd tell everyone that they broke the mold when they made Charlie. A father, role model, proud combat veteran, humanitarian, and the type of person that would give you the shirt off of his back. Nicole and I think about Charlie all the time. Although we miss him, I cant help but smile sometimes thinking of the great times we had. I consider myself lucky to have known him, and I consider my friend Justin to be blessed to have a father like Charlie..
