Obituary for Adelaide Ritacco

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother
Adelaide Ritacco, of Nutley, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. Born in Newark, the daughter of Margaret (Poggi) & Michael Caruso, she lived in Belleville prior to moving to Nutley in 1941. Adelaide was a lifelong New York Mets Fan. She retired as a chef for the Nutley School System Special Education Program.
The beloved wife of the late Michael Ritacco and mother of the late Cora Timchak and Linda Ritacco, She is survived by her sons, Michael J. and Pat & his wife Linda; her son-in-law, Alan E. Timchak; her brother, John Caruso; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Oreste J., Robert & Arthur.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Nutley Public Library for the Michael & Adelaide family fund.
The funeral will be Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-6 p.m.
