Obituary for Albert Mauro

Korean War Veteran
Albert Mauro, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Born in Newark, the son of the late Lucille “Lucy” (Frunzi) & James Mauro, Sr., he was formerly of Nutley. Albert retired from Hoffmann La Roche in Nutley as a laboratory assistant. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a life member of the Passaic Valley Elks BPOE #2111 in Totowa and a member of the Tri Club of Holy Trinity Church in Passaic.
The beloved husband of the late Elsie (Marakovits) Mauro, he is survived by his children, Christina R., Albert L. & Robert J. Mauro; a brother, Michael; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He was also predeceased by two brothers, John & James Mauro, II.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter would be appreciated.
