Obituary for Albina Fasso Brooks

Albina Fasso Brooks, of Brick, NJ, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Bruno) Longo. Mrs. Brooks lived in Menlo Park, where she raised her family and also lived in Nutley and Randolph before coming to Brick over 25 years ago. Albina was bookkeeper at Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley before retiring and in her retirement, enjoyed many of the Lions Head North’s community clubs and activities.
Predeceased by her husbands, Vincent Fasso and Ivan Brooks and her daughter, Linda Tarn, Albina is survived by her loving children, Robert Fasso and his wife, Margaret, Joanne Hirniak and her husband, Jurij, Kathleen Calabrese and her husband, Frank, and Nancy Donatiello and her husband, Mark. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her son-in-law, Everett Tarn and was the dear sister of Mark Longo and his wife, Lucia and the late Joseph Longo and his wife, Margaret and Frances Oliger and her husband, Bud.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday at 10:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 11 am followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday June 16 from 5-8 pm and on Saturday morning from 9-10:30 am.
