Obituary for Andres O. Palomino

A Passionate Advocate of Natural Medicine
Andres O. Palomino, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2107. Born in Cuba, the son of the late Adelfa (Hernandez) & Andres Palomino, He lived in Cuba prior to moving to Newark 46 years ago. In Cuba he was a banker and after moving to the United States he was an entrepreneur before his retirement. Andres was a member, past Grand Knight and former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus Council #6019 in Newark.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Osmara (Garcia) Palomino; six children, Andres E. “Andy” Palomino & his wife, Reyna Lopez; Osmara “Ozzie” Lourenco and Tom Sudol; Geisel Lawhun & her husband, Matt; Gleidy Pinho & her husband, John, Grace Salerno & her husband, Tim and Carloalberto Palomino & his wife, Michelle; and a sister, Elena Martinez; nine grandchildren, Alexander (and spouse Laura), Remy (and spouse Alexis) & Casey Lourenco, Jonathan & Joseph Cutrone, Tristan Lawhun, Angelina Salerno and Isabella & Anthony Palomino.
The funeral will be Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Seton Hall Preparatory School, 120 Northfield Ave., 07052 in memory of Andres O. Palomino would be appreciated.
