Obituary for Anthony J. Del Grosso

Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather & Brother
Anthony J. Del Grosso of Nutley, passed away on Saturday April 15, 2017. Born and raised in Kearny, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Panzica) Del Grosso. Mr. Del Grosso came to Nutley 53 years ago and was a Supervisor with Western Electric, A.T. & T. in Newark before retiring. Anthony was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson College in Florham Park and was a member of the Old Guard of Nutley. He was also an avid bowler, a race car enthusiast and enjoyed going to the gym. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Marjorie A. (Abbott) Del Grosso he is survived by his children, Anthony G. Del Grosso and wife, Mary Beth, Laura Del Grosso-Jenkins and husband, Christopher, Dawn Clemente and husband, Richard and Marjorie Petrasek and husband, Steven. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony and Jessica Del Grosso, Alyssa Corbo, Benjamin and Samuel Petrasek and his siblings, Ann Suppa, Joseph Del Grosso and Joan Giovia.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday April 19 at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 9:30 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visiting will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with the Old Guard of Nutley service at 3 pm.
