Obituary for Barbara A. Codomo

Barbara A. Codomo, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday February 10, 2018 at her home. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Briante) Lucanese. Mrs. Codomo lived in Belleville most of her life and was a secretary with the Chaplains Office at Clara Maas Hospital in Belleville. She served for many years as a Eucharistic minister at Holy Family Church and was a member of the Sassy Seniors Club. She was also a member of the Belleville Chapter of AARP. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Patsy M. Codomo and her children, John A. Codomo and Patricia Cure. She was predeceased by her daughter Laurie Palumbo and also leaves 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, her brother, Anthony Lucanese and her sister, Emily Harke.
The funeral will be Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
