Loving Wife, Sister and Aunt
Millie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born in Newark, the daughter of the late Alfredo “Firpo” and Florence Eandola, she lived in Newark and Bloomfield with her beloved husband Nicholas “Nicky” Mescia before moving to Nutley.
Millie was a proud member of St. Lucy’s Rosary Society, active in The Feast of St. Gerard, and a member of the St. Francis Senior Center. She loved to cook and bake for grateful family and friends.
She is survived by her sister Mary J. (Jeanne) Eandola, her nephews Fred Alfano and his wife Geri, Joseph Alfano and his wife Diane, by Deborah Barmann and her husband Neil, and many loving grand nieces and nephews.
Special thanks go to Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center, and to the Adopt A Nursing Home Patient organization.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Lucy’s Church, 118 Seventh Avenue in Newark at 10 a.m.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley on Friday 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Millie’s memory to your favorite charity.
