Obituary for Caroline P. Lutz

Devote mother, grandmother and aunt
Caroline P. (Giardina) Lutz of Belleville, passed away on Thursday August 3, 2017. Born and raised in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Angelina (Cuchiara) and Salvatore Giardina. Mrs. Lutz came to Belleville 42 years ago and was a telephone operator with A.T. & T in Belleville before retiring. Caroline enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and most of all, enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and “Aunt Lee” to her many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by her sons, Martin and Sterling and his wife, Lori. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Lauren, Lea and Mackenzie and was the sister of the late Pat, Paul and Tom Giardina.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday August 5 at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 9:30 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visiting will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
